Amery Smith

Amery Smith (also known as AWOL) is a drummer, currently associated with the Beastie Boys. He forms BS 2000 together with Beastie Boys' Ad Rock.
Before that, he played the drums on Suicidal Tendencies' debut album, and was one of the forming members of Uncle Slam and The Brood, two other Venice based crossover thrash bands. He also did a lot Suicidal Tendencies' well known artwork and even though he has a chip on his shoulder he continued to do artwork for the band after leaving it.
In May 2006, he reunited with is old Suicidal Tendencies bandmates Louiché Mayorga and Grant Estes to create a band named AgainST with Excel vocalist Daniel Clements and former No Mercy singer Kevin "The Jerk" Guercio.
