Celebrities Uncensored is a TV program on the E! network that edited together amusing paparazzi footage of celebrities. The celebrities were often drunk, disorderly or disgruntled, but not all the time, with some throwing tantrums. The show was cancelled in June 2004 when Mindy Herman, E!'s CEO at the time, was forced from the network, and the new executive put in her place decided to take the network's programming in a kinder direction that was gentler to celebrities and less exploitative about their private lives, and away from Herman's more controversial programming style.

CELEBRITIES UNCENSORED was frequently the highest rated show on E! sometimes rating higher than The Howard Stern Show. CELEBRITIES UNCENSORED Episodes 2 thru 26 featured PARIS HILTON and NICOLE RICHIE and propelled that dynamic duo to fame. The global community became aware of Paris and Nicole on this program. These two celebutants are the stars of THE SIMPLE LIFE, now on E!.

The show's paparazzi, J.D. Ligier, E.L. Woody, Henry Trappler, and Steve Brodersen, as well as Egyptian superfan YaYa Mohamoud, became minor celebrities themselves. Some celebrities were friendly with them, while other celebrities hated them. Carmen Electra has said to one of the paparazzis of the show that she loves him, while, on the other side of the mirror, Brad Pitt has expressed objections about being filmed.

The show was created by E! producer Edward Boyd, who got the idea from watching a compilation tape of candid Leonardo DiCaprio clips that E.L.Woody was selling on the internet. After discovering that E.I. Woody had a vast collection of other entertaining celebrity clips, Boyd successfully pitched the show to the E! network brass. E.L.Woody was replaced after the first season by Rachelle & Gary Kaplan, husband and wife video paparazzi. Producers also opted to drop the rambling narrator behind the wheel of his car, giving the show a faster pace.

CELEBRITIES UNCENSORED was cancelled after Season Two, due to pressure from celebrity publicists. The publicists began refusing to let their A-list clients speak to Joan Rivers on the red carpet or cooperate with True Hollywood Story, citing displeasure with Celebrities Uncensored. The show continues to rerun in international markets.
