Craig Fuller has been cited as one of the great American country-rock singer/songwriter/guitarists. Although he didn't receive the visibility many others with far less talent did, Fuller's work nevertheless took root with a legion of fans and critics and is still widely praised today. Co-founder of Pure Prairie League, along with John David Call and George Powell, Fuller and the band's work established themselves as pioneers of the country genre. He performed with PPL for their self titled debut LP and the follow up, Bustin' Out. Both LPs had a huge impact on country rock as Fuller's vocals and songwriting, as well as Call's incredible pedal steel, were considered to be a huge step forward in the genre. In particular, Bustin' Out has been hailed as the masterpiece of country rock. Fuller departed after Bustin' Out due to draft board problems. He returned to the music business in 1976 for two LPs with American Flyer. After American Flyer dissolved, Fuller returned to record one LP with former Flyer member Eric Kaz. Once again, Fuller's singing and songwriting garnered him the highest of praise.

In 1988, Fuller was hired by Little Feat to front the band, singing Feat's old standards as well as new tunes. He led a resurgence of the band which had been inactive for almost ten years. His superb vocals once again had Feat in the national spotlight. In fact, Fuller's first LP with the band, Let It Roll, garnered Feat its first Gold record award. Two more critically acclaimed LPs followed, but in 1993 he left the band as the extensive touring forced him away from his family for too long. He made a guest appearance on their 1996 live album Live From Neon Park singing his Feat anthem "Hate To Lose Your Lovin'" with Barrere and Shaun Murphy.

Fuller recently reformed Pure Prairie League, along with longtime PPL bassist Mike Reilly. The band released a new CD, All In Good Time, which quickly became one of the most requested CDs on satellite radio in addition to receiving extremely positive reviews in numerous magazines. Fuller wrote or co-wrote 10 of the 12 tunes.
