"If You Wanna Be Happy" is a song recorded by Jimmy Soul. It hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 18 in 1963.

It is based on the calypso, "Ugly Woman."

The song is featured in the movie Mermaids, released in 1990. It was also played in the 1997 movie My Best Friend's Wedding.

The band Rocky Sharpe and The Replays released a cover version of the song in 1983. The band Kid Creole and the Coconuts released a cover version of the song as well.
