"Tell Him" is the name of a song written by Bert Berns. It became a hit in 1962 when it was released by The Exciters, rocketing up the Billboard Hot 100, and eventually peaking at #4 in 1963.

In the UK, cover versions were released by Billie Davis and Alma Cogan in 1963, Hello in 1974 and Quentin and Ash in 1996.

Billie Davis and Hello's versions both became top 10 hits in the UK singles chart.

This was was also performed by Vonda Shepard in 1998 and released on the Ally McBeal soundtrack. It has also been performed on American Idol by a contestant, Haley Scarnato.
