Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

George gets invited to a party in Long Island and brings Elaine and Jerry with him. Jerry and Elaine have a bad time stuck in boring conversations, and Elaine confronts a woman because of her fur coat.

When a co-worker starts coming on to George, he strands Jerry and Elaine at the party, leaving them to wait for a very tardy Kramer. As a sign of gratitude for allowing he and Elaine to wait at his home, he suggests the hosts stop by his (Jerry's) apartment if they are ever in New York.

Weeks later, to Jerry's surprise, the male host takes him up on his offer, just as Jerry's heading out the door. In order to assuage the host, who feels Jerry's gesture was empty, he allows him to wait in the apartment until his return. However, Kramer stops by and he and the host have some drinks and laughs. Eventually they hire a prostitute over to Jerry's apartment.

Later, the host checks out of the apartment without paying just as Jerry returns. As Jerry tries to pay the girl so she'll leave, cops arrive and he's "busted" for fomenting prostitution. Elaine prepares to squabble with the prostitute over her fur coat.

Spoilers end here.

  • The episode was originally produced for the second season; however, due to the 1991 Invasion of Iraq (and subsequent media coverage), the episode was postponed until November. When this episode originally aired, it was preceded by a brief introduction in which Jerry explained to the viewers that this episode was produced for Season 2, thus, George is still working in the real estate business.
  • This episode contains two references to a previous episode, " The Jacket". Jerry quotes Elaine's father in loudly referring to the publisher she works for as "Bastards", and Kramer recounts the story of how he and Elaine had to chase after a magician's doves, which occurred in that episode.
